PixlBit Changelog - February 26, 2013

Posted on 02/28/2013 at 01:32 AM | Filed Under News

FYI - No changelog today also, it's not likely there will be anything tomorrow either. Possibly on Friday, but it's hard to say right now. Spent the whole day transferring knowledge at work and the whole evening packing up all the odds and ends left in my house, with more to pack tomorrow.

If I get some time, I've got a few small changes that I need to make and a few others I'd like to make. If I don't manage to get any upgrades in there by Friday, it'll likely be another week or more before I manage to get something else completed. Between unpacking and starting my new job, it's going to be hectic.

However, I will put up a blog post or two showing off my new game room and the collection in all of its glory!

Also worth knowing - you can Draft post everything now and just release them as you see fit. That might help if you want to backlog them and only release them incrementally.

Sure man, I'll definitely write something up. It's something that has a high initial learning curve, but once you get it, you're set. From there, you'll always hit your rough spots in learning new stuff, but it's all conquerable. It's a skill of mine I deeply treasure and I'd love to share it with whoever wants to learn.

Glad to help Smile. I also write my stuff in another program (Word) before bringing it into the site editor, but I suppose with these new changes, everyone should be able to safely blog straight on the site. Kind of a scary thought, but it should work seamlessly (I hope).

There is no way to do it right now, but it has definitely been brought up and will undoubtedly be addressed soon. Might be something I work on tomorrow. Either that or a private messaging system. Being able to track what comments you leave would be immensely helpful - I've had a hard time keeping up with my own comments at this point.

Hey man, no worries about not spending a ton of time here in the past. I completely understand what it's like to be entrenched in a particular community and have limited bandwidth to spend time elsewhere.

Like you said, the influx of people here says a lot and for that I'm quite thankful. It means a tremendous amount to me. Seriously, it's more than anyone can even begin understand.

PixlBit has always been something special to me. A manifestation of a great accomplishment in my life. To now be able to share that with a bigger audience is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. I've been on cloud 9 since you've all arrived.

After the roughly 65 hours I put into, it definitely started to wear on me. A few others on staff started feeling it much earlier. I guess it depends on who you are, but it can be a rough experience.

For a good while I was so hooked on the game, it didn't bug me in the slightest. But once I came up for air, it was wholly apparent that I needed a change in scenery. Oddly enough, I've been pining to jump back in, but I've got Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sitting here to play, so I'm going to roll with that. Maybe after I conquer those two I'll hit up Demon's Souls.

Hey Nick, are we making enough noise for ya?

Can I get a "Hell Yes!"? You guys are definitely making a bunch of noise and I'm absolutely loving it. Pretty soon the neighbors are going to be calling in a noise complaint, but that's the only way you know you've got a real party going.

Hoping to hear some cheers from the crowd in a few minutes here when I release tonight's update. I'm thinking it's a good one, but only time shall tell!
