A Letter From the Director

Posted on 02/27/2013 at 01:06 AM | Filed Under Feature

There is no way to do it right now, but it has definitely been brought up and will undoubtedly be addressed soon. Might be something I work on tomorrow. Either that or a private messaging system. Being able to track what comments you leave would be immensely helpful - I've had a hard time keeping up with my own comments at this point.

Hey man, no worries about not spending a ton of time here in the past. I completely understand what it's like to be entrenched in a particular community and have limited bandwidth to spend time elsewhere.

Like you said, the influx of people here says a lot and for that I'm quite thankful. It means a tremendous amount to me. Seriously, it's more than anyone can even begin understand.

PixlBit has always been something special to me. A manifestation of a great accomplishment in my life. To now be able to share that with a bigger audience is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. I've been on cloud 9 since you've all arrived.

After the roughly 65 hours I put into, it definitely started to wear on me. A few others on staff started feeling it much earlier. I guess it depends on who you are, but it can be a rough experience.

For a good while I was so hooked on the game, it didn't bug me in the slightest. But once I came up for air, it was wholly apparent that I needed a change in scenery. Oddly enough, I've been pining to jump back in, but I've got Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sitting here to play, so I'm going to roll with that. Maybe after I conquer those two I'll hit up Demon's Souls.

Hey Nick, are we making enough noise for ya?

Can I get a "Hell Yes!"? You guys are definitely making a bunch of noise and I'm absolutely loving it. Pretty soon the neighbors are going to be calling in a noise complaint, but that's the only way you know you've got a real party going.

Hoping to hear some cheers from the crowd in a few minutes here when I release tonight's update. I'm thinking it's a good one, but only time shall tell!

HELLO PIXLBIT, GOODBYE 1UP

I think everyone will be happy with tonight's upgrade. Let's just say that I think I have a solution to "Lost Blog Syndrome" Wink

PixlBit Changelog - February 25, 2013

Should be a link to a javascript file. Your browser has likely cached it already, so if you click the link and refresh, it'll allow the "Edit" link to work.

As for deleting others' comments, that's something you can't do, even on your own blog. Not sure how I feel about that as a feature, but if you report it, a moderator can do it for you.

Hello Pixlbit!

Went ahead and fixed this up for Adam. Awesome drawing by the way, absolutely stunning.

Need to get use to this...

Yeah, Persona 1 and 2 are a completely different set of games. I adore 3 and 4, but had a really hard time getting into the others. I actually found the PSP remake of 1 to be the easiest to get into, but both sides of 2 are just a little too different for me.

I did pick up Eternal Punishment some years ago when Atlus re-issued the PS1 copy of the game. Glad to have that one in the collection in physical form. Now if they'd just re-issue Revelations: Persona...

Why I'm not going to add my game collection here

Posted on 02/26/2013 at 01:42 PM | Filed Under Blogs

One day I intend on making the collection space a little flashier. It's going to take a bit of work (our games database is nowhere near extensive enough), but I'd love for it to feature box art and more data on each game. Of course, it's imperative that it remains quick and easy to use, so I need to put quite a bit of thought into how to do that.

In the meantime I've got quite a few other upgrades to make, so to the backburner this goes.
