Armadillo Sighting & Gaming Favorites

Posted on 04/08/2013 at 04:20 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I love Sly,my favorite game thief of all time. Those Gamecube knick nack holders are awesome! Very cool stuff. I love my little Gamecube and will play it as long as it holds up. I baby it so that should be many years. When I was a kid in Texas we would go on nature hikes. I picked up an armadillo once! My Dad yelled at me. Said"You wanna get leprosy!" Did not know what that was,so I pitched the armadillo into the brush. As far as a favorite game character? Lara Croft or Solid Snake.

That would be cool if you did a walkthrough. I know very little about Dark Souls, but I'm highly curious. So any info from an expert on the game would come in handy.

As far as blogging fuel goes, you have enough to spare I think. You write some pretty awesome ones. Mine are just blurbs compared to yours. But I learn from reading good ones like yours,so I'll get better with time.

You made some great points here. First off about the resolution issues. I've been toying with the idea of going retro for my older systems. Getting a good Sony or RCA flat screen, the old fat kind! PS1,PS2,and XBOX games might look better on that. I remember them looking better. Very few game journalists I respect anymore. The ones on Rev3 are pretty good. Especially with Adam Sessler at the helm now. And you know how I feel about multiplayer as of late. It truly is horrible in every way. Ironic that Call Of Duty can get it right, but others cannot. Perhaps it's because they don't give a crap? Must be considering the level of play in some games. I try to love Final Fantasy,I really do. But they need to stop trying to make them so action oriented and get back to better RPG mechanics.

Great music today. I saw Volbeat at a club in OKC once. They were outstanding. That Bring Me The Horizon song was my favorite one.

That was a great article. Made me think of all I have learned from playing games. And it's a long list! My son learns all sorts of stuff about nature, animals, history, geography, you name it. And he's only been a gamer for 10 years. Games get him interested in things and then he reads up on them.

Sometimes a bit of rape in a film sets the story up. You ever see "I Spit On Your Grave" the original one? Although the remake was pretty good, too. We were playing some Tomb Raider today and thought of that. On an island consisting mostly of men you know raping Lara would be high on their list of priorities. Well, until she sticks a knife in their eye! Could put a damper on that whole thing. Hardware is a great film,I love that one. Haven't seen Zombie Diaries 2 yet. Sounds pretty good even with all the raping going on. Binary Domain  does sound good to me. Gotta pick that up for PS3.

When I was in Singapore I remember seeing all sorts of products like the Crash/Mario handheld there. You could tell some were bootlegs and not authorized at all. I noticed it says PVP on it and there's no Sony logo. Guess international laws can let them get by with it.  Big question would be if that device is compatible with regular PSP games you would buy in a game store. I'm gonna investigate that. Got me curious about it.

When 3D gaming finally comes to homes without the glasses I think the revolution will begin. People are going to get so immersed in their games. On a screen that size 3D would be wild. I saw an IMAX 3D film once and it was trippy.

Maybe someday they will be able to do that with HD games. I think it's kind of a nostalgia thing for the minds behind this event. They must be around my age or something.
