Ni No Kuni is a game I must try. I have read so many good things about it. 56 hours! Now that is commitment. Remains to be seen if I can pull that off.

I'm gonna get more specific here. What's your favorite gaming console of all time?
My favorite flying games involve aircraft from WWII and WWI. I used to build models of the fighters and bombers. So this would be one I'd like. The story element looks like it compliments the dogfighting well. Definitely a plus on that part.
Those console updates used to make me nervous. Especially the ones for PS3. It would nearly take all day! Didn't know if it was them or me. Now they load up very smoothly,so I have no worries.
I'm about half way through now. Like you,I marvel at my surroundings in the game constantly. We often take for granted the painstaking detail applied to these type of games. The imagination and skill that is required to bring such a world to life is amazing to me. I hope they publish a book[like they did with Rapture] that I can read. It would be cool to know all the backstory of the events in the game.
Can you imagine if you owned one? It would be hard to go back to a TV after all that!
In the immortal words of 50 Cent, "You won't never get a dolla outta me....cause I'm a mutha fuc$#in' PIMP"! Words of wisdom,Fiddy.
That fighting video was hysterical! I've never seen that one before. Ebert was very opinionated, and most of the time right on the money. But his bias toward games I never understood. The art aspect has been there for decades in certain games. But now? With all the realistic stuff and motion capture of real actors? Becomes more like film all the time. So if fims can be art,why not games? That girl in The Wizard,Jenny Lewis,is she that singer? I wonder...the one from Rilo Kiley and solo stuff, too. Could be,will have to look it up.
My son finished it a week ago,but I'm taking my time on it. I stop sometimes just to look all around. The work they put in on this one...WOW! It's just so gorgeous in every way.
You started right where I did recently in the HD collection. MGS2 has always been one of my favorites. I'm at the point just past the first encounter with Olga on that upper deck of the ship. Looks fantastic on the PS3!
