Why were you nervous? You did fine. Contra rules! I have put endless hours into that game. I'm still playing it after 26 years lol. I hope to play Tomb Raider and I'm looking forward to Diablo 3. I skipped it on PC because of all the DRM.
It's been a really lazy day. I watched some Louie (thanks to Blake) on netflix and took a nap. I need to go work out... but I kinda just want to take another nap lol. 
This is probably my favorite Shinobi game. I never did put that much time into it though and I don't think I made it past the 4th level. It has some great music for sure. Why is he clad in black on the cover but white in game?
That must be rough working in a warehouse with no AC. The heat hasn't even really hit us yet. I haven't felt like writing much lately either. Maybe you should just take a break and not worry about it. On the other hand I wouldn't mind seeing another retro summer. It's good to hear from you again man. 
Nice pick ups! The original Donkey Kong Country games are really hard. So it doesn't surprise me that the 3DS version is hard too. I played it at Gamestop and thought it was great.
I stay far away from the news. That's some depressing shit. All I know is that picture of Paula Deen doesn't do her any favors. She looks completely insane lol.
Sometimes I can't decide if MGS is my favorite or if it's MGS 3. I would love to see a remake of the original though. Out of all the MGS games that's the only one that I've played more than once.
There's a thrift store right across the street from where I live. The last time I went there they had a bunch of GBA games (some really good stuff too) for cheap but I was broke. I don't really mess with disc based games from those places. They are always scratched beyond all hell.
Happy anniversary! I guess I should visit gamerdad more often. I bought Blood Dragon a while back but haven't put much time into it. It seems cool with all the 80s references and what not.
There ain't nothing wrong with playing old games. I can clearly recall paying $50 for NES carts in the 80's. I'm not sure how much money that would translate to nowadays, but it was probably more than $60. The NES is my favorite system ever, but even I know that most of the games (there were 700 something) made for it were crap.
