I play a lot of games on kongregate. As a matter of fact, I probably spend way too much time on that website. However, the lure of thousands of free games is too much to withstand. And games that I don't need to download, I might add. Yes, I know the site is owned by the evil Gamestop, but free games! Recently, they've been offering free “Kongpanians” if you get the badge of the day, and the special shiny version if you get four more badge of the days in that same calendar week. As far as I can tell, these things do absolutely nothing, other than show up on your profile page, and the shiny version is just more of nothing. Anyway, in my short-lived quest to get a shiny version of a kongpanion, I ran across Epic Battle Fantasy 3. I was only going to play long enough to get the badge of the day, but I ended up spending a week on it.

I love how everyone has jumped on the BaD bandwagon, but I wonder if may people really know how it started. Raise your hands now, how many people really know how BaD started? Yeah, that's what I thought. OK, kids, come closer and make a circle and I'll tell you a story...

I've decided to put Lego Marvel Superheroes away for now. After rescuing the last Stan Lees In Peril and finding (most of) the mini kits in each level, I tried for the last 15 gold bricks and my final missing playable character - The Silver Surfer. All of the remaining gold bricks are, unfortunately, flying races. The controls are so miserable that it has ceased to be fun. Much as I would love to get 100% in this game (the completionist in me is openly weeping right now) and my first Platinum trophy, it's just not worth it. Games should be fun, not aggravating to the point you want to throw your controller.

Sorry I've been absent lately. Dealing with situational depression, and it has been kicking my butt big time. I'm not going into details, let's just say that I'm in a serious blue funk and leave it at that. I apologize for not reading and commenting, some days getting my teeth brushed is a major accomplishment :(
