There are a couple of reasons why I didn't write a Quick Hits blog yesterday. One of the reasons was because I was close to finishing Grand Theft Auto V that I wanted to get it out of the way. Another was I didn't want to write a QH. I had my pictures ready, and I knew what I wanted to talk about but I just didn't want to commit it to paper...err electronic paper. On this fine Saturday morning before I go and resume my CD Saturday where I visit the local mom and pop shop, and sink a couple of hours into finding what hidden gems I can find in the $1.99 section, I thought it was time to add to my blog entry with another edition of Quick Hits with Chris.

Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a gloomy with a little bit of rain morning here in what is usually sunny Southern California. The weather is perfect for soup and maybe actual hot coffee but I'm going to enjoy some ice cold water until I decide if I want to venture out and grab some donuts. So how is your weekend? I know you still want to talk Nintendo Switch (I'm kidding). Yes I'm glad Nintendo has their new product announced and we all have our opinions on it, but I'm going to wait a bit until more info is thrown out.

Good morning Pixlpeeps! It looks like everyone has an opinion on the new Nintendo Switch so hell I might as well give my two cents. Overall I like what Nintendo is doing, but I have a feeling this might be a flop. For the causal crowd it will be great. Having a console/7” tablet is a cool feature that Nintendo has improved on from their Wii U, but it also seems like its another underpowered console that Nintendo will push a ton of units on and when the numbers start to slow down, release another port of a Zelda game that has appeared on previous Nintendo consoles. I do hope I'm wrong and Nintendo releases a product that everyone is happy with. I hope Nintendo delivers on the product that Sony promised when it released the Vita and talked about how I can stream games from the PS3 (HA!) and PS4 to the Vita. The cartridge is a damn good idea because kids can't scratch them, they're tough, and portable. The little Joy-cons are cool but what is the battery life on them, and are they comfortable?

Good morning Pixlpeeps! For today's Quick Hits I'm gonna try something different. I've recently gotten into this kick where I watch YouTube videos about headphone reviews and I've become interested in the budget side of headphones. As you know with my CD pickups I love a wide range of music and I also listen to a lot of podcasts. I decided to check out two headphones to see if they live up to the hype and the best part is, both pairs combine come out to about $70 which is usually the price of a new video game and maybe some DLC. Today's Quick Hits will cover these two headphones. If you're not into it I get it, and you can either skip down to the bottom to see what bargain bin video game I bought or I'll see you next week. Good morning Pixlpeeps! The weekend was fun but it is time to get back to the week and get stuff done! The windows are open, the cool breeze is flowing and yes I am one day closer to removing the music off of my phone and replacing it with Christmas music. Yes I know its only October but hey I do like Christmas music so the moment the last kid shows up at my door saying “Trick or Treat” (they usually just stand there with a bag open and look at you) I'm going full Christmas music mode. Sorry Turkey Day, but I'm skipping right over you. When I am not plotting to do a music swap on my phone I am finishing one game and taking it off Mount Backlog

I just spent probably an hour trying to figure out why the latest Script Hook was crashing my Grand Theft Auto V. I followed everything people were writing and still the same problem. Finally it hit me (of course the huge green box in Open IV helped) that I should replace one file with the new one and boom everything works! I am a happy camper again and I can continue the solo story mode of what’s going on in Los Santos. Good morning Pixlpeeps, that is what I was doing this morning during the start of my three day weekend. After this I will probably go back and continue where I left off earlier this week. So a couple of things were brought to my attention earlier this week when checking my email:

Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a breezy day here in Southern California, which is freaking awesome because it will only be around 85 degrees today instead of the 90s/low 100s. I turned off the A/C and have all the windows open to enjoy this. As you can tell my Monday morning is off to an awesome start.

On Saturday mornings I like to sleep in but yesterday I decided to put off one errand because of all things I was watching an episode of The Love Boat, so because of that I am up early and then I also realized I didn’t write up a Quick Hits blog (that one I can blame on tinkering with GTA V). Since I am up, and the store I was supposed to go to is not open for another hour or so I might as well catch you good people up on what has been going on, Quick Hits style!

This past weekend the only game I’ve really spent any significant amount of time with was with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. I did fire up the PS4 and after some updating I played a bit of MLB The Show but other than that it was all GTA V.
