In my plan to study a decade a month for the year of 2019, I've finished my first book on January's decade 1900-1909 concerning art. Then I finally finished up Halo: Silent Storm, a kind of return to the roots of the Halo story. I hope the same is true of the next game.

I think I'm done with the Fortune Island expansion for Forza Horizon 4. I've gotten most of the achievements for the Island except the drift ones. I might, however, try the two time-trial achievements a few more times. These have you race the two biggest races, Leviathan and Kraken, with specific cars in under a certain time. I got very close the last time, but take a look at these things I saw at my local computer shop.

Not a game, in case you were wondering, but an audio book. I'm blogging this year on things I've finished in all media. No more time records for games, and no more blogging on games I didn't finish. I'll just have to finish something to reward myself with writing. That's my new plan.

My attempt to quicken the grind to getting enchantment buffs for my Minecraft character, Gingerbreadman, failed the other day. That's not to say it wasn't fun anyway, but my goal was frustrated.

I built a very large pen and filled it with every type of animal; well, not pandas, or dogs, or turtles - not that I didn't want those too. Mainly it was pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and horses. I kept breeding them until I had to build a bigger pen, then a bigger one. At one point I watched Mark try and breed some in the pen and it created a stampede. If you hold out wheat, you get cows and sheep rushing you to be fed. It was funny.

The last couple years I’ve applied a year-long theme to help me choose media to consume. Last year I chose from a different 5-year span every month starting with my birth year. This coming year I thought I’d make it decades and start at 1900.
