Demon's Souls isn't as bad though, since it feels more like you double your health for a short while after beating a boss rather than feeling like you lose half when you die. Demon's Souls seriously comes close to beating Dark Souls in some ways. Some of the Boss fights blow Dark Souls out of the water, and there are areas where the atmosphere is so thick you swear you're playing medieval Silent Hill. Seriously, Tower of Latria gives me goosebumps, and Miyazaki is apparently basing the feel of Bloodborne around that area.
I'm good. Just getting sick of hearing about American football :p
Still haven't got the RE Remaster :( But limited saves is probably going to piss me off.
I'm currently playing this with Bilby. I picked it up because you kept going on and on about it.
I have some major complaints about the console version, that I really didn't notice until I tried the Master difficulties. Firstly, the roll sucks. Enemies still hit you even if you've rolled a mile way from them.
Secondly, having A be your main attack and the interact button is so stupid. I died a lot because of that. I need to kill this thing but no, you need to open a chest instead, or talk to some random, or leave the area AND LOSE ALL THE LOOT! That was infuriating.
Also, there's less loot. A lot less. The dead bodies barely give you anything, unlike on PC where it gives you something almost everytime. When I tried my monk on Master I, I died so many times because I was LEVEL 7 and no loot had dropped. Nothing. The only things I got were from completing quests. Seriously, not a single item dropped at all.
And some issues with co-op. Firstly, split screen co-op is done poorly. You should both be able to look at your inventory at the same time, like you can online. It's really frustrating, especially when the solution is alread on pc - just use half the screen. Same with shops. It's really annoying in a game where you're stopping every 2 minutes to check your numbers to have to wait 5 minutes for the other person to finish.
I'm not even attempting Hardcore. I got to level 10 and died because my character kept targeting the wrong enemy. Or would just kick air beside them when an enemy is in front of them for no reason. Again on PC this didn't matter since you just clicked the enemy.
Grr. Sorry for the rant, the game just frustrates me.
The Patriots are the worst team in existance. I don't know who they are - I'm guessing they're football players - but fuck them anyway.
I've still never played a Tales game. Where would be a good place to start?
Damn. Don't play Demon's Souls, you have half your health for most of the game, and the only way to get it back is to beat a boss haha.
I didn't mind depleting health in DS2. Mainly because there's a ring you can get early on that stops it going under 75%. Also, the Human Effergies are fucking everywhere. I didn't skimp out on them and I had about 40 when I finished the game.
Keep in mind, though, this is the B team. Miyazaki isn't behind it, and excuse the pun, but he's kind of the sould of the series. He's back for Bloodborne.
But yeah you're right. Dark Souls 2 is inferior in almost every way. Dark Souls 2's DLC is a different matter entirely though. They seemed to have realised their mistakes, crafted more dynamic, open ended levels that feel coherent and are filled with lore. The problem is slogging though the rest of the areas to get there.
There are still some cool boss fights, and the multiplayer has never been better, so I mainly just dip in for that.
Damn, I've been meaning to pick this up for a while ahah.
Still haven't gotten around to this. I've heard bad things about bugs and framerate, so I avoided it until it was patched...
Judging from what you've said, I might leave it alone.
Being an adult sucks. I just left college and I'm sick of it already haha. Moving is the worst though. Hope you settle in alright.
And your cat is adorable and I want to steal it.
