And yet there are still those out there that are saying that this console generation will be it's last.....

I need to find that link. I saw it once but was laughing so hard I accidently dropped my tablet and reset the browser.

Journey, music, and death

Sounds like a nice way to pass on to the next. I never really gave it much thought on how I'd consider my time when my time. Usually when it comes to death my people don't really focus on what to do at the end but what must be done properly after the end. I do not envy you in being there to see a friend off (I'm not one for goodbyes) but it must have been an honor to be there for them at the end.

I hope I don't sound ill-willed in saying this but perhaps that is something I must go thru if I am to understand that game in that context. I played the game once and never got it, and I've actually walked a desert in my life.

Has Online Functionality Ruined The Case For Buying Games New?

Posted on 11/20/2013 at 12:50 PM | Filed Under Blogs

thank you! finally someone sees it! I've mostly harped on the "Online Pass" issue but this also comes into play in how it just seems like a wiser choice to just wait it out till the game either get's a GOTY edition at a reduced priced to ensure you get all the game has to offer, or just wait till it's dirt cheap and get the DLC if you feel like it thus still making out like a bandit in the long run.

You also make a good point on for some odd reason we are able to tolerate getting games on DAy one that require a Day One patch to fix bugs or the game having bugs from the get go (I'm looking at you Fallout: New Vegas), that alone cost that game a possible GOTY edition and instead we got a "Ultimate Edition" for $40 instead of the possible $30 it should've sold for!

Put on the flip side it could be a good game. I'm considering getting PS+ since you get a good number of games for free in the service. If I ever dicide I want to own a physical copy I can wait it out and buy it used while I enjoy the game digitally. Sure tehre is the tempation to buy it digitally but so far I've been able to hold out in buying such unless it's offered in a bundle pack.

Online has it's ups and downs but for me it's mostly been downs. I'm willing to tolerate so much but if it get's too crazy I'll decide with my wallet. Thus why no Online Pass title has ever gotten a dime from me!

Now this makes sense. Who knows if people read this after you released your game they'd understand more the reasons why you chose teh direction you did with the game.

It makes me wonder if this is why anyone that creates something "professional" has to have those PR crisis control people to help explain things whne people just don't get it.

The pit: Creation and the fall that follows.

It comes with the terriorty these days. it don't matter if your good at what you do or no. Look what happened to Geroge Lucus. He was reveresed with Star Wars IV-VI but reviled after I-III

Just got to learn that it comes with the terrirotry of creation. I'm sure others that started out had te same thing. be it with any type of style the choose. Look what happened to "Fifty Shades of Grey". That book is terrible and it was trashed, yet the author doesn't care for they are getting boatloads of money. I guess you just need to see what makes you happen after you create something and release it for the world to see. Good or bad or real bad, the words will be said. Perhaps you need to do a "press release' explaining your creation on how and why you do it if the need to explain yourself is that strong.

I didn't bother with that when I wrote stories in high school that consisted of a digital musicl player that allowed you to have a protectife bubble, allowing you to gun down anyone without the police being able to touch you.

Software Sells the System. What For PS4?

Posted on 11/19/2013 at 01:19 PM | Filed Under Blogs

None of the games offered at launch got me interested in a PS3 with the exception of Resistance: FOM. I originally was going to hold out until the rumored remake of Final Fantasy VII was released but decided to get a phat B/C PS3 when word came out that Sony was getting rid of them.

Nothing on the PS4 really interests me so I'm glad I waited.

I'm Back Baby, YEAH!

Oh I see how it is. When you said a "small break" you actually meant a whole summer break.

That cool. Time is what we make of it. Glad to see you back.

That logic makes sense. Why compete with the other console releases and just release a system halfway between the others so it will actually be something new and unquie. If it can be a bit better than the PS4 and Xbox one and offer a decent price point, then one could say goodbye to the "1 year" advantage.

I just wish some civilities could come to play when it comes to these debates and issues.

though You won't find me telling others to go out and be crazy, I can understand going out and doing stuff so long as your not competely stupid about it or try to justify it by saying: But I'm young!!!

I guess I just don't care over these types of issues despite the cosplayer I follow and the games I've played. Whenever I get someone trying to tell me something along those lines above I just laugh and walk away like a madman. I got more important things to worry myself over.
