RE: HD is only 7.4 GB

Yes Tami, you can choose proper analog controls or the old tank controls. The new control scheme can be a little jarring against the static backgrounds. You can run up a flight of stairs and find yourself running back down them until you get used to it.

LOL the C64 used 180 KB single sided floppies and cassette tapes. I used to take the double sided 360 KB floppies and put games on both sides.

You are correct. The maximum capacity of a single GC disk is 1.5 GB so even if the disks were jam packed with data it's only 3 GB less than the size of a standard DVD (4.7). I guess the additional data is related to the HD and the widescreen presentation.

They attempted to port CV to HD a while back and it came out horribly

Nope this one will not be getting a physical release but Revelations 2 will. At least that's what I've heard.

DKC Returns is excellent. I have the Wii version and the 3DS version in both physical and digital formats. LOL.

The only reason I have the digital on 3DS is because Ninty gave it away free to platinum Nintendo Club members this year and it was the best choice out of the bunch.

Definitely a cross between Etrian Odyssey and Persona 3/4. You get the first person dungeon crawling, map drawing, FOEs and random encounters of EO with the characters, demon compendium, fusions, music and high school theme of Persona.

Battles are turn based and exploiting enemy weaknesses results in bonuses. Each character has a main fixed Persona and an interchangeable sub Persona that gives the character extra magic and physical capabilities. Taking the right sub Personas into battle can mean the difference between winning your battles and getting wiped.

Throughout the games you fuse Personas to make more powerful ones.

Playing 3 and 4 is definitely a benefit because you get to start with the cast from either game and a lot of what the characters say relates back to original stories.

For instance the P4 cast I'm playing with talk about going into the TV to save people. There are lots of inside conversations that unless you've played P4 you're likely to be thinking WTF!

As far as I know it will. Games that can only play on the new 3DS will be identified as such on the cover. Here's the cover for MM

Persona 3 is good. FES adds an epilogue and 4 expands and improves on the formula. Persona 3 Portable has a choice of femal protaganist but all the animation outside of dungeons has been removed in favour of static screens and a pointer. Irritated the piss out of me.

The first and second Personas have very little to do with 3 and 4 except for high school kids and can be very frustrating with random battles every few seconds.
