If it's any consolation, I can definitely send you a code for PixlCross once we release on Steam. Not sure how it stacks up to Pixelo, but it might fill the void!

Yeah, we also have a timer. There's an achievement on each puzzle for beating it within the time limit. It's not essential for progression or anything and there's not really perks necessarily associated with it. It's kind of more for fun/bragging rights on Miiverse.
Super excited for this as well. And it's coming out on my birthday, so happy birthday to me! Absolutely need to finish up Bloodborne and The Old Hunters DLC before I jump into this, otherwise god knows when I'll get back to that.
Don't feel bad. It hasn't grabbed me either. It's just too expansive and I'm having a hard time connecting to the characters and the plot. I agree about the silent protagonist - it doesn't work well here and is certainly no stand in for Shulk.
I'm going to keep hacking away at it. But it's certainly not what I expected.
Haha, I had a very similar feeling the first time I finished Dark Souls. It felt like such a tremendous accomplishment. I was incredibly proud.
Little did I know that my experience there would be so infectious that I'd go on to completely fall in love with the series and play all of them numerous times. I'm still midway through Bloodborne, but I should be getting back to it soon.
Oh man, I absolutely love The Matrix. The original at least - the sequels were pretty run-of-the-mill (though the Animatrix was quite good). Trying to think of some of the other references in here, but stuff like the Metal Gear Solid mission, the subtle Mortal Kombat references, and especially the Streets of Rage Johnny Gat mission was totally kick ass.
This honestly felt like a much more silly, but ultimately more enjoyable Crackdown (which I also really enjoyed). For me, this is open world done right.
Gotta change Then to Sometimes... PENaS
I usually wait to buy games as well. And we're not really going after review copies like we used to, so it makes it even tougher to get comprehensive coverage on the latest stuff dropping.
I think a lot of us are playing indie games, so hopefully we can double down on our indie game coverage!
I'll have it replace Peter with the current user who's signed in because I think this applies to most of us!
I think the starred score and the recommendation serve two different purposes, ultimately. For all realistic purposes, I think it takes more time than we usually have to produce a truly analytic review of game. It's much easier and usually more closely representative of what we've played to provide a recommendation over a review.
