What gives it away as a possible sequel or spiritual succesor like Dark Souls was to Demon's Douls, is the use of torches and they also showed a party of characters that could be your pawns. It was speculated that you could have a friend drop in to your game mid game like the way you could add or drop pawns whenever you liked. It wouldn't be too difficult to do this, they are the devs for Monster Hunter after all.

I had put up a post about LOL a while back looking for players. I enjoyed what I played of it. It's definitely a new kind of experience for me. I got to a level around where you are at now and stopped. I tried out DOTA 2 as well.

There must be something wrong with me because I spent the weekend watching old horror movies, specifically the living dead series. The drought in survival horror games has made me nostalgic for 80s B movies for some reason. I'm not really a horror movie fan, but it's interesting to see the influences these movies had on games like Dead Island and Revelations. I'm not exactly sure where Revelations inspiration came from though, Titanic? The sea creatures look like Pirates of the Caribean.

I was pleasantly surprised with the WiiUs capablities when I set it all up. I like MarioU and the Miiverse picto-chat component, but I also enjoy the way the gamepad makes old games look fresh, because it's compressed onto a smaller screen I suppose. Super Metroid looks kind of HD on the gamepad, but retro pixel style on an HD tv. Best of both worlds in my opinion. I also like the way Monster Hunter clears the clutter off the main screen and onto the gamepad and how zombiU uses the gamepad creatively. Scanning stuff on walls and all. It's a good little system. I am anticipating new game reveals at this E3 for sure.
I am genuinly excited to play this after seeing that trailer. I was hoping for a Sonic vs Mario Kart type game, but this will do for now.
The DLC sounds like that last area of DD with the trials in the pit or whatever it is. Might just wait for a Price Drop. I have no use for a second copy of Dragons Dogma.
So is the expansion game a separate option from the main menu? How can you go straight to the Island after starting the game? They packaged two separate games on one disc?
Is that a real guitar in that first pic? Back in our days we played real guitars and not plastic toys with buttons pretending to be guitars.
