I may see if my brothers want to go see Aquaman or Bumblebee tomorrow. Depends on how we feel. If not, I'll go see 'em later maybe.
Yeah the Spider-Man cartoon movie is the best of the Spider-Man movies. And I don't really like Spider-Man but I enjoyed this one. Only problem I had is that I go see movies in 2-D, and most of the time they look fine in 2-D. But the last two movies I saw didn't really do the transition from 3-D to 2-D effects very well. Both this and the Grinch movie had a lot of blurry backgrounds that I could tell were meant to be seen in a 3-D glasses movie enviornment, even though these were clearly the 2-D versions I was watching. And it's not just me that noticed this, too. The other people who went to see these movies agreed with me.
Wow you could rent 2600 games? I don't think the local rental places around here rented anything except NES and SNES games. Much later, when we got a Blockbuster Video, I started to see more games to rent, like for the GBA, PSOne, GameCube, etc. But by then I wasn't renting games much anymore.
Yeah I think most of the disks my dad brought home with games for our Apple 2 were probably pirated. But I was just a dumb kid and didn't think to question where they came from. I was just like, "Oh boy, more games!"
Yeah when I was a kid, I was interested in Greek Mythology, too. So I wanted to try Kid Icarus on the NES. And I hated it. Years later I took a Greek Mythology class in college and now I don't like Greek Mythology either!
Love those tough ladies. :)
Best way to play Metal Slug games is on a home collection where you can have unlimited continues.
Athena sounds like my kind of woman, huh? Ha ha! Why do you say that? :)
Congrats on beating that DQ game! I think the only DQ game that held my interest all the way through was Rocket Slime.
I wanted to get Final Fantasy Explorers, but never got around to it. Can't play 'em all, you know? I hear it's like the Final Fantasy answer to Monster Hunter.
Thanks! Yeah if you can ever get your hands on a NEO GEO Pocket Color, there are a lot of good games on that. For a very short while, I liked the NEG GEO Pocket Color more than I did the Game Boy!
I'll probably wait until Netflix for Mortal Engines, but part of the premise reminds me of one of my top five favorite games of all time: Final Fantasy 6. In that game, there is a castle in the middle of the desert. It looks just like an ordinary castle, but at one point it turns into a giant machine that can dig through the sand and move to different areas. That blew my mind when I first saw it in the game. Man that game was good!
I've seen three movies so far this winter: The Grinch, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and the Spider Man cartoon. And I also did Ralph Breaks VR. I'll talk about them when I do my winter movie blog, which probably won't be until February when all the winter movies I want to see are out.
