From BaD impressions to good - Titanfall

I mean you're not getting mushroom powerups or anything like that, and the graphics are realistic, but yeah it's all about maximizing play fun within the bounds of the concept. Because why not run on walls, have your mech drop out of the sky after you get a certain amount of kills, or have a deck of cards that give you different perks?

BaD Games: Top 10 Most Disappointing Games Part 5

I enjoyed these games, but they were disappointing.

What happened to the content in GTA 4? No ramapge missions? No kind of turf disputes (which even 3 had even it it wasn't its own mini-game)? No vehicle assault missions. Not much in the way of criminal diversions at all. Instead we get...darts.  Saints Row 2 took a giant shit all over this game.

Resident Evil 5 has the best version of Mercenaries mode. The weapon selection and upgrading were very good. But man, some poor choices in settings, tone, and the AI partner.

I already like the aesthetic much more than Halo's. Always thought the Master Chief armor was cheesy. Bungie, to this day, are the only ones who got regenerating health right in a shooter.

My Top 5 Remakes

Resident Evil is the king dingaling of video game remakes, imo.  The visuals still hold up and it remains a creepy game.

Cheater. MGR doesn't count. Go play Ghost Babel, then come back.

Just kidding (but still, play Ghost Babel if you haven't). Didn't seem like many people preferred DmC from what I've seen. MGR came away as the hack and slash champ of 2013. I know a few game "journalists" were dickriding it hard, which I knew they would because they always do for dumbed-down reboots.

A lot people haven't heard of it, I'm guessing. I hope that doesn't bode ill for sales. Maybe they need to smoke some IGN pole or something...

Fuck that.

Is this the king dingaling of the Tales Of games this gen? I want to play one of these games in the near future (haven't played a Tales game since Phantasia), but I can't keep track of them.

Oh my god man, you must be really young or hate movies. Alien is god-tier shit, so is Aliens.  Check them out.

And yeah, 80s videos do present a..colorful version of the real 80s. It was kind of like that, but only in certain venues (clubs, dances) and cities (L.A., Miami). I lived in Chicago, it was a little less neon. But I was a child then, so maybe I'm not remembering it accurately.

In the 80s the influence of the first Alien film was still going strong. That movie ushered in a new look for cinematic science-fiction: industrial, gritty, shadowy, dirty, rusted, lived in.

Neon was usually the hallmark of lower budget films, filmed on L.A. streets, which costs less than building large sets.  The Blood Dragon game kind of gets it wrong, exaggerating immensely. That's more of an alternative universe 80s/fever dream.
