Yeah when 1up closed down, I tried a few other gaming blogging sites, but PixlBit worked out best for me. I still post my blogs at 1up, because, I already them written up, so might as well.
Yeah the LEGO movie really does seem to use a lot of content from the games. It'll even have Batman and Star Wars characters in it!
I lived in Austin for a few years when I was in college. Despite what the reviewers have said, I played LocoCycle at PAX and enjoyed it. It's very humorous, too, but not very politicaly correct (not that that bothers me any).
Yes if you like music games and Final Fantasy, you should get Theatrhythm.
BlazBlue was made by the same folks who did Guilty Gear, so they share a lot of similarities. At least I think so.
You should try the original Chibi Robo game. It was on GameCube. If I had time, I'd replay it again before the new one comes out. Park Patrol on DS was great, too.

I don't know much about the Wii U Yoshi yarn game, except that Yoshi looks like he's made out of macrame in it.
I'm not sure when X is coming out, but I'm not a big Monolith Soft. fan, so I probably won't get it.
Yeah I'll certainly give Hyrule Warriors a try. It'll be a good chance for me to see what the Dynasty Warriors games are like.

That Guardian of Light game is one of the only Lara Croft games I enjoyed playing.
I wish Bravely Default had the same kind of music that 4 Heroes of Light had. Just not so difficult.

I don't know enough about the Ouya and its games to warrant a purchase yet.
