Luke's 2009 Game of the Year Awards

Luke gives us his thoughts on the best titles that were released in 2009 on all platforms.

PlayStation 3 PlayStation Network

Game of the Year: Shatter

Shatter is one of the best games inspired by Araknoid and one of my favorite PSN titles available to date. While the gameplay might be familiar to many people, the game features may unique elements such as boss battles, the ability to summon more balls at the cost of a life, and the ability to draw in or repel balls in order to maneuver them.

Runner-Up: Flower

Flower is one of the most unique games released this year. You simply control a group of flower petals in order to bring color back into the world. The game makes extensive use of SixAxis motion controls in a great way. This is made even better because you rarely see PS3 games make good use of SixAxis controls.

Honorable Mentions:

Marvel vs Capcom 2, PixelJunk Shooter, Fat Princess, Critter Crunch, Noby Noby Boy, Burn,Zombie Burn!
