Luke gives us his thoughts on the best titles that were released in 2009 on all platforms.

Game of the Year: Half-Minute Hero

Half-Minute Hero has such a unique concept since you have to complete various tasks in a small time limit. There aren’t many titles that offer an experience like Half-Minute Hero provides on the PSP. With so many different types gameplay to keep the title fresh and retro-inspired graphics, players have plenty to come back to.

Runner-Up: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona

The remake of the original Persona allows fans of the series to experience it for the first time or a second time with an enhanced presentation. The original gameplay is left intact which may feel odd for people who started off the series with Persona 3. Though the gameplay is dated, it’s still great.

Honorable Mentions:

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, LocoRoco 2, LittleBigPlanet, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Hammerin' Hero, Crimson Gem Saga, Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, Rock Band Unplugged, DJ Max Fever
