So here I am on Wednesday night continually grazing on leftovers and a bag of chips that is within arms reach of this laptop. I’ve pushed it away a couple of times but I swear it has feet because it has made its way back to the cozy spot between my headphones on the table and the laptop screen. I have to say the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day festivities were fun. I mean you can’t go wrong with good people, good food, and some fun and games ending with some gifts. Let’s recap the events:

So yesterday I had a Quick Hits all typed up (well almost) and I was going to edit a couple of pictures and then upload everything…and then I didn’t do it, so here we are lying on my back, still in bed and I am trying again. I figure I will Frankenstein portions of yesterday’s blog (maybe 90%) and some new content today. So let’s get started on this pre-Christmas Quick Hits.

I like to think that today’s entry is more than ramblings on a Monday Morning but most likely it will probably be just that. Sure there was some game related stuff I did this past week, but other than a couple of spots here and there, I really wasn’t sitting in front of a screen with a controller in my hand for that long, so instead here we are with a couple of gaming items, stuff I found, and other semi-interesting randoms.

Hello Pixlpeeps and welcome to the Fifth Annual Chris Goes All Awards Show. This is the blog where I look back at the games I’ve played this past year, find the ones that were my favorites among the consoles and handhelds I own and then ramble about them culminating in the one game I call my Game of the Year.

 You know Monday is usually tough but after a four day break, it’s really rough to get everything going. I think I’ll get the hang of it come Wednesday. During that holiday break I was going to make some last minute progress in some games right before my Chris Goes All Awards Show blog but instead I played a ton of one game and that game is Injustice 2.

Pixlpeeps, Happy Friday! This is my favorite time of year because this is the one day I can justify eating a steak and a slice of pumpkin pie covered in whipped cream for breakfast and people think its normal. This is good times and after I finish writing an update here I will go back to eating something crazy. Anyways last night my cousin and I decided to venture out an hour after stores that opened because we wanted to avoid the crazy folks who go nuts over deals over TVs, computers, and other high ticket items. Instead of those items I wanted some small stuff and I knew there would be mountains of this stuff so we could take our time, avoid the rush, find some cool stuff, and calmly stroll out of the store without any issue. So this is my kinda recap of what I call Dark Gray Thursday Night!

I got lazy on Friday, and then again on Saturday, and one more time on Sunday so the Quick Hits didn't get written. Instead I will just combine the pickup portion with today's What Did I Play blog because that's how I'm feeling today.

So next week is Thanksgiving and I do like this time of the year because tons of food, family get together, and of course Black Friday shopping, on Thursday (sorry retail folks). This year is no different with the exception that the local Target has closed down and my only close option is either Toys R Us and Walmart (I really don't want to drive too far out of laziness). Over the past couple of weeks I've been waiting to see the latest offerings from the various stores to see if something appeals to me just enough for me to want to drive to the next town to hit the Target, or if Walmart and or Toys R Us will have the things I want. Thanks to sites like Slickdeals and Cheapassgamer and apps like Flipp I am able to view the Black Friday ads early and plan out what I want. Now I'm not buying a lot but there are a couple of things I want to get along with on the fence stuff

It is Friday and I am here in front of my everyday laptop while listening to music off of my travel laptop. Before starting this entry I was ripping my CDs I bought yesterday to the travel laptop and while I had it open I might as well listen to some tunes on it, rate the tracks and add them to their respective groups. After I finish here I'm going to open up iTunes on this laptop and then copy the ratings to the travel laptop. More on this crazy later because it is Friday and it is time for Quick Hits.

A couple of days ago I picked up some Double A batteries because I wanted to power up the Wii. I haven't started that machine up in a while and when I went to check on the batteries in the WiiMote, they were trashed. I thought it would be fun to have a console weekend and for the most part is was but I had to jump through a couple of hoops. The PS4 when powered up didn't appear on the screen. Since I have an HDMI switcher I thought I had the wrong input, than I went to maybe the cables were unplugged and then finally I just blamed Sony. Eventually I got it to work, which was odd because nothing was unplugged, and the right input was selected so I'm just going to blame Sony. I found the Mission Impossible Level Set I bought a while back and I thought it would be fun to play that. Since I haven't booted up Lego Dimensions in a while I was a little rusty on what to do. Apparently I needed to download the 1.9 GB world for Mission Impossible.
