RetroSummer2013: Lunar: The Silver Star

Posted on 08/17/2013 at 03:36 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Oh yes the PS1 came with a 4 disc set if I recall. I'm too lazy to dig out my preserved deluxe packaging copy of the game. If you are curious about the definitive version, Silver Star Harmony is the best one to try out, though I found it to be a bit too easy for my taste. The past ones had some difficulty to them. I too like playing JRPG's on my PSP but i'm just debating if I should buy them digitally or physically. That way I could carry my favoriate JRPG"s with me without having multiple UMD's to juggle. Already thinking about buying all the FF's off PSN so I can have them on my PSP though their price range is rather high.

that's one of the reasons why I won't do emulations. There is indeed nothing better than playing a game on the original hardware. Though youd o get to play those hard to find games on emulation I stil get that "Dave Titus" theme from the sitcom "Titus" on how despite playing them "it's not the same!" *burys head in saddness*

Isn't it obvious? I'll always be NSonic79/NSonic in any game I play. it could be mixed with a (.) between the N and S or no numbers but that's what I'll be till my dying days of online videogaming. Hope to see you!

OCR Spotlight: Vampire Spanker

ack! ack! ack! what did they do to the awesomeness that is "Vampire Killer". I know some people can go for guitar acoustics but this just does not work for me. Perhaps after reminessing about your epic fight in the world of castlevania but I'll stick with my Perfect Selection Dracula Battle reditiion of this theme for now.

Again with vampires! You rlike the 8th person I've run into, ONline and in person, that mentioned vampires. I don't know if it's just me but I think my mind is trying to get into the mood for the fall even though it's not offically fall. it's feeling like it though given the current weather changes in my area.

Why have we not seen a photo of people wearing all of those flip flops on the wreath? That would be silly.

Awesome purchase.

I like how hard MS is trying to win back their loyal gamer base by basically removing all the "next generation of gaming" offerings that the systemw as suppose to push on us. but like you said the damage has been done. I too am holding off in getting an Xbox One till I see how MS will play things out after the fact. Or if a really cool Halo game comes out, whichever comes first.

GI and I disagree.

LEGO Rant

Posted on 08/17/2013 at 03:03 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I listened to an NPR/MarketPlace report about the rise and fall of LEGO. they seem to link it to too much overbranding and overly complex lego sets that require to buy in on a specific theme than sets that let you make whatever you wished without the need of specific format themes. Plus they said their prior works in non lego creations that were suppose to bring in the teenage and young child crowds fell thru.

So when they tried to go back to non themed LEGOs, they've had a hard time trying to break from that model given how there are so many types of brand name LEGOs like the lord of the rings, star wars and pirates of the carribean.
