No game is perfect. No matter how close it gets to perfection, even the absolute best titles fall short, whether it be in areas large or small. Here are a few examples from my personal favorites:
So yesterday, all my friends were busy doing Valentine's stuff and my date from Sunday was still in Dallas, meaning I didn't get any laundry done or see The LEGO Movie.
So I missed Friday. My girl wanted to spend all day with me and so it was challenging with classes and practice to be able to blog. Even today it was hard do anything because we had our second Valentines Day. I don't know why we decided to make it two days but it happened. She doesn't cook so she wanted to cook me dinner so that was my gift which the meal turned out pretty well. I got her some jewelry and all in all it was a very successful first valentines day for us.
I didn't post anything yesterday for a reason. It's a holiday for couples, and I didn't want to bother anyone with my whining and complaining. Yes, this is one of THOSE blogs. I urge you, please don't read if you don't want your day ruined with my pathetic tale of lost loves and broken hearts. That being said, I'm not a woman hater or anything. I just want to share why it is so hard for me on this particular day.
Just watched video impressions of the Titanfall beta, by popular Youtuber,TotalBiscuit. I haven't thought much of this game, seeing it as little more than Xboy hype (nothing against sensible Xbox users, but I thought "why does this game get so much hype as being the next big FPS thing, but Planetside 2 and Tribes: Agenda didn't get anywhere near the same hype when they were new)...until now. I'm very digging it. Sure, I still think some games get immediate hype because of politics, but It looks like loads of fun and has potential for many badass moments. It looks purely video gamey in the way a Mario game is, or more appropriately, Unreal Tournament. Not that it's a similar kind of FPS, but there is little in the way of concessions being made to realism or "immersion" (you know the kind of talking about). Very arcade, fast paced, physics defying stuff. Unfortunately I can't afford a new console or PC upgrade anytime soon.
Just sitting here at Mark's place waiting for Pirate's Booty DLC to download for Borderlands 2. We finished the main story line last Thursday and today we mopped up all but one side mission in the main game. There's one final side mission labeled "Impossible" difficulty that apparently requires four players at level 50 or better to beat. I figure we'll be able to do it with two once we finish all the DLC and are above level 50, or maybe we'll have to find some more players. I am going for a complete achievement run of this game. According to xbox360achievements.com, it's not a hard game to get a perfect score.
