Yeah, I'd recommend sticking with a simple blaster early on and rely on a tankish party member until you can get either the dueling or dual weilding perk, then switch to swords. Best to get those early too because you will want a lightsaber.

I didn't like this one. I can see why some people like it, but it had a few too many little things like a train hitting me because a zombie triggered a QTE or terrible swimming sections. Glad you liked it though but I agree, they need to be done with this style. Another RE4 like reboot.
The only God of War sequel I really thought nailed Kratos' character was Ghost of Sparta, which also happens to be my favorite in the series. Has a lot to do with how saving a brother fleshes out his character well while still letting him be a psychopath unlike shit like him bonding with Pandora while holding Helios' head he tore off hours earlier.
Arkham City I agree 100% on. Not much to add other than how Asylum was so much more focused on the mystery than City. There you were wondering what the Joker was up to and finding out his plans, as devestating as they were, was a relief just because you can still imagine worse from that guy. City derailed the mystery of what Strange was up to by having you spend most of the time finding that cure, there wasn't really any time to fear what will happen and when it is revealed you figure out why they didn't spend any time fleshing it out: Because it's the most generic thing they could think of.
My favorite game ever. Female explorer is a good choice, but just keep in mind more unorthodox ways to fight, like that bit in the demo with the choice to repair the droid or hack the terminal. Also just keep in mind that dual weilding leads to a lot more misses than weilding one weapon if you don't have a perk for it. Hope you enjoy that game, I was that same way with RPGs when I first played it.
Enjoy Bravely Default. I wasn't really big fan of the Tomb Raider reboot, felt it was as mediocre as AAA games get. I tried giving it a chance for what it was since I wanted more of an emphasis on platforming, but it didn't really do the new things it introduced well enough to justify the shift to me.
I wasn't a fan of Demon's Souls, mostly because the combat didn't click with me. I get why people like it, just didn't like the way everything moved and felt. Dark Souls has always appealed to me more though because of the Metroidvania approach though, feel like that could be enough to keep me going until the combat does click. Maybe some day I'll give it a go.
It's funny because I remember when Infinite first came out and I asked you about things like the two weapon system and you said it's not that bad. Guess things change. I agree with these anyways. They're both good games, but Borderlands really is boring as shit on your own without improving much for 2 and Infinite is all about the story over gameplay.
Ace Attorney is second only to Pokemon for my favorite series on the DS...hell, my favorite portable series really. Aliens is pretty good, but I had kind of a hard time staying interested. Ghost Trick's awesome if you like puzzle games and don't mind a heavy story emphasis that can occasionally get weird (especially towards the end).
Castlevania DoS is one of my favorite games on the system and all time, and the others are pretty damn good too (though I'm not the biggest fan of OoE). World Ends With You is awesome just because of how it makes a great game that uses every feature without feeling gimmicky. Just expect LONG stretches of dialog from time to time. Zero I have and had my fill, but the trade returns for it are pathetic. If I ever do see you in person consider it yours.
Right now I know I'm getting South Park and Titanfall day one with Destiny in the far future. Will probably wait on Ground Zeroes for a price drop because it seems a little too pricey and may go for Infamous day one. Also thanks for letting me know about Evolve, it sounds awesome.
Yeah redundant was probably the better word. I like ZM's faster pace and the way its bosses were presented so much more its basically the perfect sidescroller in my mind.
