So basically I'm in love with Metal Gear Rising. Combat's a blast while doing just enough different to keep things interesting. I also love how absurd it is that this is by Metal Gear standards (think about that- absurd by Metal Gear standards), but somehow Platinum keeps it feeling like MG even though the gameplay and story structure have little in common. It also made me think how much I would love if Platinum did spin-offs like this more often. So I made a list of the series I'd love to see a Platinum spin-off.

It's been a while since I pimped my stuff at Rotorob, so rather than provide you guys with fresh new content, I'm just going to regurgitate the crusty month old reviews I haven't posted here yet. 

So basically I came to a realization when 1up closed down: people actually think I'm entertaining. Like I saw people comment, but I always thought they were drunk or tried injecting crack for a change. But no, I'm legitimately entertaining. So I thought, "Well why the fuck am I doing this for free?" So, I'm going to make some changes to turn my blogs into more of a service for the rest of you. Now, how is this a service you ask? I don't know! All I know is that it gives me more money! So in the future expect...

Seeing as how I may be a weird and pick Mass Effect 3 Citadel for my GOTY pick (though can definitely not say for sure with how amazing Last of Us, Destiny, Saints Row 4, and Pokemon X/Y look) and got both Fallout games' GOTY/Deluxe editions as a cheaper way to get their DLC, I thought about all the different kinds of DLC that we encounter nowadays. Personally, I think DLC is an amazing thing we have, the problem is that even by Sturgeon's Law standards (for those of you unaware, 90% of everything is crap) way too much of it is bullshit. 

Gears of War: Judgement comes out this Tuesday. I’ll be holding off on it, but would like to get it later down the line, preferably if I have a friend to co-op with. But one thing about this game bugs me: That the developers thought Baird of all people deserves to star in a spin off. Baird is a bad character even by Gears of War standards.

Those of you who have seen the Tropes vs Women first video on video games dealing with the damsel in distress will be able to follow this very easily. To those of you who have not seen it and value your time too much to watch it: Think of your least favorite Bob Mackey article. Okay, you're in the perfect mindset to read this.

One year and one day ago, I came home to find my copy of Mass Effect 3 had been delivered. Everything that happened this gen had led up to that moment where I could finish the fight against the Reapers. Four days later I finished it, leaving a little confused and unsure of what actually happened in those final few minutes. The next day, I went through countless Google searches looking for some kind of hope, just anything that would give me a better ending than what I got. This search was all for nothing, however, as it was the true ending and for the next week I was depressed. I'm not even joking, food tasted worse, I couldn't enjoy any of my other games or anything on TV. I should have been starting another new game in ME3, but I just went to my studies to forget about it. It may sound pathetic now, but I had never been as invested in a series as I was in Mass Effect.

So Assassin's Creed: Black Flag has been announced. All of you people from 1up know how much I hated the last one and instead of rehash that on Pixlbit, I thought I'd show another way how much I hate that game. So here are five things that I would rather do, each of them worse than the last one.

So the PS4 was revealed last week and I’m just posting my thoughts now. There was something that made me feel like it didn’t feel like a next gen reveal. I didn’t want to say it was the graphics, because we’re at the point where it’s a bit unreasonable to expect another huge leap. Still, there was something about them that turned me off until I thought, “Kind of funny how Destiny and Watch Dogs, the two which actually feel new are also on current gen systems.” Then it hit me: These games are the same old shit I’m playing now. Outside Knack look at what they announced. Killzone 4, another Infamous, game that looks a lot like Forza/Gran Turismo, a Capcom game that looks like Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Diablo 3. Translation: sequel, sequel, another driving sim, could go either way, and a game I already own.

Since my review of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time recently went up and I want to promote that game as much as possible, no matter how late, I thought I'd post another blog on what I've been reviewing recently.
