I will say this, I hate having quite a few topics that I would like to write about, but never actually get around to writing about.  Back when Microsoft had the whole Xbox One announcement debacle I was curious as to the number of other "third" consoles.  I wanted to compare a bunch of numbers like the lifetime sales, the size of their software library and the time on the market.  I wanted to then compare these numbers for consoles like the N64 and PS3 with that of their immediate predecessor and see if there was some sort of a pattern to look forward at the Xbox One.  In the end, nothing really came of it.  I did a bit of research, but never actually sat down a wrote about what I found.

Just a quick couple of things as long as I am thinking about it. I have not had a chance to put much of any time into The Banner Saga. The title screen is really nice, but that is about as far as I have gotten. Since I quit Cookie Clicker I have returned my laptop to its original storage place under the couch. It usually sits there until I get the urge to update my phone with more Doctor Who. So, I will have to make an extra special effort to pull out the Banner Saga and sadly I do not see that happening anytime soon... I just remembered that I have MLK day off so maybe I will test it out then.

The Banner Saga officially releases later today.  I am currently pre-loading it onto my computer as I write.  To be honest, I had pushed this game from my memory since I kickstarted it back in 2012.  I was excited for it when I kickstarted it, but so many awesome games have come between that point and now that I have had little time to think about it....    Now that its release is finally here I find myself sitting here in eager anticipation and cannot wait until I get home from work and am able to play it.  I don't expect to put much time into it, but I do want to get a little bit of a taste of it before I put it back onto my backlog.  Here is hoping that the gameplay is as amazing as the art style...  I will try to come back tomorrow or later this week and  give some first impressions.

I have finally done it.  At least I hope that I have finally quit Cookie Clicker.  There is a small void that has formed in my being and I might have to fill that with Candy Box 2.  Here is hoping that I get bored with that one fairly quicklySince half of Cookie Clicker is all about waiting to accumulate enough cookies to buy another upgrade I have spent that time with a couple of games in my Steam backlog.  The two big games that I have spent some time with are Papers, Please and Risk of Rain.  I spent about 20 minutes with Valdis Story:  Abyssal City but wanted something a little more rogue-y so I put it down.  Valdis Story left a fantastic first impression though, I really hope to come back to it soon.

I currently have no logical thought process at the moment.  I don't know if I can even put together full paragraphs, so I am just going to put together as many thoughts as I can of things that have happened  and such over the past month or so...

I have a plan. So far this year I have finished somewhere in the vicinity of 30 games. This list of games spans nearly all the generations of gaming starting with the NES. I say nearly because I have not finished anything from the N64/PSOne era or the "next-gen." With 3 weeks left in 2013 I am going to try to finish a game from each of those eras.

As you know by now I recently acquired a PS4. I have not sat down to truly enjoy it since the day that I set it up. Life has gotten in the way. Between countless errands, Thanksgiving, a Lakefront Brewery tour, the in-laws and a super slow-draining tub I found myself with little time for myself. Whenever I did find time for myself, other things got in the way.

What could I possibly say about the PS4 that has not already been said?  Probably nothing, but there are a couple of things that I would like to say regardless.

Here we go.  I feel as though life has been fairly busy over the past couple of weeks.  My life in regards to videogames to be specific.  It all seems blurred together, which is not necessarily a bad thing.  This is what has been going on....

I am now able to return to my regularly scheduled life.  I have an order confirmation and payment validation for a PS4.  Which means that I should have one coming sometime soon.
