I think I have the majority of these games, but I have yet to finish them, or even play them at all. This generation has been the generation of collecting for me. Change is coming... I hope.
Farewell to the Wii: Unsung Wii Games
Come see all the games you probably missed, but should've played (shame on you).
WayForward has a knack for creating memorable and beautiful games. When given a swing at this classic franchise, they were able to knock one out of the park with A Boy and His Blob. Though the game was conceived on the NES, the studio was able to apply their own unique art style and animation to the project, ingraining it with unquestionable personality.
Though beautiful, A Boy and His Blob isn’t just good looks. It packs a serious punch, offering excellent puzzles and unique gameplay. By tossing the blob a variety of jellybeans, the boy is able to access different segments of the level or perform abilities otherwise impossible.
While the first 40 levels of the game provide evenhanded challenge, after collecting the three chests in each level, the game unlocks a second set of 40 levels that double up the challenge, forcing players to use a limited number of jellybeans to complete the level. A Boy and His Blob is a puzzle-platformer on the Wii that you just shouldn’t miss.
