I think I have the majority of these games, but I have yet to finish them, or even play them at all. This generation has been the generation of collecting for me. Change is coming... I hope.
Farewell to the Wii: Unsung Wii Games
Come see all the games you probably missed, but should've played (shame on you).
Due to the less impressive graphical performance of the Wii, plenty of stylized games cropped up to fill the gap with art left by the hardware. Lost in Shadow is such a game as it provides a unique presentation wherein players navigate the shadows in 2D, rather than the geometry.
The game evokes memories of both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, but in reality isn’t much like either. Playing as a shadow of a boy, you must jump across the gaps in shadows to climb up a tower to reunite with your physical body. As the game progresses it takes on elements of combat and puzzle solving, both of which enrich the core platforming engine.
Manipulating light sources, battling fierce shadow monsters, and navigating the landscape are key components in the experience, making Lost in Shadow a memorable and unique production from Hudson.
