I think I have the majority of these games, but I have yet to finish them, or even play them at all. This generation has been the generation of collecting for me. Change is coming... I hope.
Farewell to the Wii: Unsung Wii Games
Come see all the games you probably missed, but should've played (shame on you).
When Sin & Punishment: Successor to the Earth released on the Nintendo 64 in Japan, it quickly gained cult status. Given that western gamers couldn’t buy it in their territory, plenty went the extra mile and imported it, providing an opportunity to experience Treasure’s masterpiece. The Star Fox-esque space shooter provided significant challenge and a fast-moving experience that hooked players from beginning to end.
Star Successor carries that torch well, offering the same level of challenge with much improved pointer controls. Though the camera is constantly propelling your character forward through the environment, you are given unprecedented control. You can fly and roll with ease, perform weak rapid-fire shots, swing a missile-reflecting beam sword, or even charge a shot for extra damage.
While it’s true that Nintendo fans have been pining for a new entry in the Star Fox series for years, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor does a great job of scratching that itch. This Nintendo published game can be found for next to nothing these days, leaving shoot-‘em-up fans with no excuse to avoid it.
