I think I have the majority of these games, but I have yet to finish them, or even play them at all. This generation has been the generation of collecting for me. Change is coming... I hope.
Farewell to the Wii: Unsung Wii Games
Come see all the games you probably missed, but should've played (shame on you).
There’s a lack of games capable of portraying absolute devastation, loneliness, and tragedy as beautifully and poetically as Fragile. Set in a post-apocalyptic world the story follows a young boy, Seto, on a journey to find a silver-haired girl who sings with unmatched grace. Along the way Seto is forced to endure isolation, face misfortune, and cope with an assortment of very sad, and very mature, situations. While the gameplay is a bit rough around the edges, the rich story and stunning art direction are entrancing enough to make any pitfalls easily forgettable.
Just as the character struggles along on his own journey, the player is taken on one as well. Capable of eliciting strong emotional reactions, Fragile will frighten you, make you smile, give you hope, then remove it, leaving you to empathize with Seto’s anguish.
Fragile is a one-of-a-kind experience that is both serious and sincere, and one that shouldn’t be gone into lightly. But with its story heavy approach and mechanically choppy nature, its appeal in our modern gaming age has been limited.
